TEXT LINK - POPUP BROWSER WITH DREAMWEAVER

In this tutorial you will learn how to open a new browser window ( POP UP WINDOW ) with text links and Dreamweaver 8.0.

With text links you have to first create a null link by selecting the text and entering a hash symbol in the link box of the properties panel.

Go to the behaviors panel and click on the + symbol. From the drop down menu select open browser window. In the corresponding window browse for the page which you want to open in the new window. Set the width and the height of the window along with other browser properties. Name this window and you are almost done.

In the behaviors panel check if onClick event is selected. If not, click on it and in the drop down box select the proper event. Text links behave a little different from image links, with image links you don't have to initialise with a null / hash symbol.
